Holding On To Hope

There’s something about October that always feels like a reset. The air is a little cooler, the days a little shorter, and somehow life feels like it’s shifting gears. And honestly, in times like these, when the news can feel heavy and life can be unpredictable, hope becomes something we all need to hold on to a little tighter.

The thing about hope is, it grows stronger when we share it. When we reach out, when we show up for each other, when we remind someone, “You’re not alone.” That’s what community is all about. With Her Sisters Keeper Foundation for Women, I’ve seen that truth play out again and again. Whether it’s through a helping hand or at an event, I’m always amazed by how powerful we are when we come together.

One of the ways we’ll be doing that this month is through our annual Double Good popcorn fundraiser. Yes, the popcorn is delicious, but more importantly, it fuels our Her Holiday Cheer Christmas Assistance Program, which helps single moms bring a little light and joy to their children during the holiday season. But here’s the thing: this isn’t really about popcorn, or even the holidays. It’s about hope….about community. It’s about finding ways to walk alongside each other, especially when life feels heavy.

So, as we step into this new month, my encouragement to you is simple: hold on to hope, and don’t do it alone. Check in on someone, lend a hand, or yes, buy a bag of popcorn. Look for ways to make someone else’s load a little lighter. Because at the end of the day, it’s the little things we do together that make the biggest difference.

Let’s make October a month of hope, connection, and community.

X, Kim💚
